The early morning sun kissed the waters of the
Aegean sea reflecting the glory of our God
through this His creation. Gathering in the
confines of the villa overlooking the sea as the
waves caressed the sandy shores we broke the
fast of the night. From His word we dined on the
delicacies of the Bread of Life from John 1,
examining Andrew's first encounter with the
Lamb of God. In order to bring others to Jesus
we must first spend quality time with Him, we
need to know Him to personally introduce the
Lord to others.
Questions for deeper meditation: how much
quality time do we spend with the Lord on a daily
basis? Who is one person in our inner circle we
want to bring to Jesus? Being a man in the
middle, we serve as facilators in introducing and
bringing others to Jesus
The team split into 2 for the day, where our
group headed to Koroni, where they had the joy
of engaging with some.of the owners of the
shops.
Thursday night we met with 3 ladies from near the town of Kalamata, one 85 yo who shared their testimonies of God's grace, justice and healing!
We went to Koroni for shopping evangelism! The
first store owner we engaged Theodore was
Greek but also lives in Wisconsin. We had a
lengthy discussion about Jesus and the Holy
Spirit, sin and doing the right thing. He was very
engaging but finally decided on some points i.e.
the unity of the God -head, we would need to
consult his priest.
Another store owner Maria Helena, is a student
in Italy and was hesitant to receive prayer for her
studies other work related activities and
challenges.
The other team engaged with the owner of a
boat. One of the team members had met him
last year and had follow up conversations with
him. To share the love of Christ we brought him
coffee after renting the boat for 2 hours to
further strengthen the relationship.
At the beach bar we met a young man who
worked there who we had met the day before.
We had repaired a broken volley ball net with the
hope of using it as a means to attract people to
play to initiate Godly conversations. This young
man was interested in playing volleyball
This allowed us to have some serious
conversations about his life and aspirations.
When asked how we can pray for him, his
response was for the Lord to provide him with
good health. He asked us to lend him a volleyball
that he could use to play with his friends after
work. We shared amongst the larger team about
this encounter and what would you know?

getting breakfast supplies we saw him again.
We then asked if we could pray for him, and we
prayed over him right there in the front of the
bakery.
We witnessed the grace of God later that
evening. A husband of one of contacts in Koroni
was experiencing some spiritual challenges and
did not want to be engaged with the team
anymore. We were planning on having a
barbecue cook out that evening which was
spearheaded by a celebrity chef we met the
evening before. This gentleman and his wife are
very passionate for the Lord and have a ministry
to elderly Orthodox women with the hope of
sharing the gospel with them. We prayed for this
gentleman who was having the spiritual
challenges and lo and behold he turned up for
the barbecue, that he had stated he would not
attend.
We had invited several other persons to the
barbecue and we met one young lady who is
exploring her relationship with the Lord. Several
of the women in the group encouraged her. At
the barbecue we had a wonderful time praising
the Lord in songs of worship.
Two persons shared their testimonies on how
they met the Lord. The gentleman who had the
spiritual challenges prayed publicly and we
closed out the day with more songs of praise
and thanksgiving.
