Tuesday morning began with our group gathering by the beach for breakfast and the devotional thought.
The question was raised "What will you do today that'll be worth remembering tomorrow?" A challenge to purposeful living using the example of Rahab, in Joshua 2 and 6 - Rahab's Hope. We defined hope as firm unwavering g assurance based entirely on the character of God and does not collapse under pressure. Her hope was based on what she knew God would do. By placing the scarlet rope outside her window, her hope influenced her behavior and overflowed to the saving of herself and her family. (Romans 15:13 and Hebrews 11: 31 her hope became legendary)
After breakfast the team split so the guys could go influence people in Koroni via a fishing expedition.
The ladies stayed behind participating in a cooking class taught by Voula and her 91yo mother. We also seized the opportunity to encourage her as she navigates several difficult situations in her life.
The afternoon was spent gaining insight and encouraging several of our Greek team members. We then shared a meal together with them in Koroni's main square.
Please pray that God will provide respite for Voula as she cares for her mother who has dementia and that God keeps her mother safe.
Pray that God will guide those struggling with hard decisions and that they continue to hope in him alone.
Pray that we will overflow with hope and people will see this as we engage the people we meet.
