Greece Day 2&3: Weekend at New Life Center

Apologies for combining a couple of days into this recap - Saturday was quite a long day for the team.
Our team got to witness an “all things new” moment at the new life center in Ioannina, Greece this weekend. Starting Saturday AM and working all day, the center was transformed from a place that had previously served refugees and then been shuttered for the past 4 months to a place that is set up to serve the community and geared towards a gathering place for students. Little did we know how many had been praying for this moment as we stepped into it. But hearing the stories today from Pastor Christos (Evangelical Church of Ioannina), Chase (new site leader for Hellinic Ministries), Belen (Argentinian missionary), Stephan Calhoun, and many others we began to see, once again, how God works all things new in His timing and for His glory. Colossians 3:10-14.
To culminate the weekend, we got to help serve a dinner that was attended by a collection of those from the church, the community, and the college. It was a smaller gathering but full of so much life and amazing food and fellowship. It was a glimpse of that new life that will one day be realized in full when God’s plan for making all things new is complete and the work that began in Christ Jesus is fulfilled. Philippians 1:6.
