Our team is on the way to Kenya! Thank you for your prayers to this point. Today while waiting at the airport our team was sharing ways the Lord has encouraged us as we prepared to leave: a nephew with good blood work results, a boss praying for our whole team, another boss telling a team member they cannot even check their work email while away, children getting into colleges, home renovations coming in under budget…..
While not all are directly related to our team, it seems to remind us of God’s incredible love for us, not just the work we want to do for Him, but the way He cares for all of our lives, and understands that other cares can distract us in this moment.
We are encouraged and are excited to go, but we still covet your prayers. Please lift up Lauren. Her shoulder and back pain has flared up and is worse when sitting. A tough prospect with 16 flying hours ahead of us. Please pray for her full and complete healing for the entirety of this trip, and that she would not be uncomfortable while traveling.
Pastor Rob has spent this last week in Kenya ahead of us, and has one more day of ministry before we join him. Enjoy some photos of his time and a super blurry team photo before we boarded. I’ll get a better one when we are all in Kenya!
