Cumberland is taking a team to Quito, Ecuador to work with Freedom and Nancy Rodriguez, artist-missionaries ministering there. Freedom and Nancy partner with several ministries in Ecuador where our team will serve. We will go to partner sites, working alongside locals and sharing in the Kingdom of God. We will use gifts and talents of our team members to connect with people. Art projects, sports, murals, times of worship and sharing Scriptures can all be used to connect with people and connect them with the Lord.
We are planning to partner with Carmen Bajo, a community center that provides programs for children during the day while their parents work. Other partners that we might visit are Second Chances, La Roca, Fundacion Luz en Tinieblas, and a church in Gualsaqui, with most ministries focused on children. There may also be opportunities to connect with Freedom and Nancy's church, English Fellowship Church, and amazing ministries going on there. We can't wait to see how the Lord will us our time loving on these children and on their community! More details on the itinerary will be shared closer to the trip dates.
