Our Thursday departure day is quickly approaching. Books have been read and people have been preparing themselves for months. Tickets have been purchased, and travel arrangements have been made. Soccer balls and crafts are ready to be packed and suitcases are partially full of clothes. But before we leave we need to secure one of our most important things: Our Prayer Team.
Thank you for agreeing to be on the prayer team for the Kenya Mission Trip, or for financially supporting team members among us. Your support is integral to our venture. We talk a lot about the "Senders," those who build up and send out others to the mission field. The picture is of war, and for every person on the front line of battle there are 9 others backing them up. When talking of missionaries Paul asks, "And how shall they preach unless they are sent?" Romans 10:15 Thank you for being a Sender, and for supporting this team through prayer in the days ahead. Your support is vital to the success of our trip, and you are on mission with us as we go.
Attached is a prayer calendar you can use in the days leading up to the trip, through the trip, and afterwards. Our team will also be writing update stories to let you know what is happening and how you can be praying for us. You should receive the stories from the whole team, not just the person you are supporting. This will give you a fuller picture of our experience.
